Founder: Dr. Akil A. Boucaud
Committed to Making a Difference
Dr. Akil A. Boucaud has over 13 years of experience working with inner city youth in many different capacities. He has worked as a youth development specialist, teacher, instructional coach, athletic coach, mentor and school leader.
Throughout his career, Dr. Boucaud have been committed to building a society where every young person can easily realize their potential and achieve their goals. He believes that providing a nurturing environment for children is essential to their overall development.
Dr. Boucaud also believes that today’s youth are tomorrow’s leaders, and through personalized attention and guidance you can provide them with all the resources they need to thrive as leaders in years to come.
Dr. Boucaud was born and raised in Orange, NJ and excelled in athletics which provided him an opportunity to attend college. He has earned an Associates Degree in Law Enforcement Administration from the University of New Haven; Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Rutgers University; a Master's in Public Administration from Kutztown University; a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership and a Doctorate in Education with a concentration in Teacher Leadership from Concordia University. Dr. Boucaud is equally committed to his family. He is married to his lovely wife Makeda and a devoted father to their daughters Makila and Akila.
The Organization’s Mission
The Dr. Akil A. Boucaud (DAAB) Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization. DAAB provides mentoring, tutoring, workshops, and scholarships to inner-city youth. Each initiative will provide our youth and their families with vital skills and support needed to be successful in school and in life.

Shaping the Future of Youth
Since 2018, DAAB Foundation has been committed to making a difference in the lives of youth all throughout the Essex County area. As a dedicated Youth Organization, we provide children an opportunity to reach their fullest potential through our wide range of services and activities. We offer them the support they need in order to ensure they grow, learn, and thrive within their community. In 2019 DAAB Foundation founded and sponsored a child development center called DAAB Kids.
